The fall season has been full of remounts at Hingham Jewelers! In September we hosted a successful Remount Show that gave many women new ideas about how to refresh their jewelry without losing the sentimental value of their pieces. The ring you see below is one such piece.

The client brought her diamond ring in with a few concerns. She disliked her ring’s setting, partially because she was worried her diamond was set too high, and partially because she felt like the side stones were taking away from her lovely center stone. After discussing her lifestyle and style preferences, she decided to set her ring into white gold. Furthermore, we decided small side stones should still be used in the new mounting to enhance her center stone while making sure these side stones did not detract from, or compete with her center stone.

The final product came out looking beautiful. As evident from the picture, her original diamond was given a whole new look by simply changing the metal and by adding small stones all around the center stone, as well as down the shank. The client was quite happy with the final product, so the job was a success!
