A little Hingham Jewelers history moment ✨
We’ve been family owned since 1948 — and proud to be Hingham’s very first jewelry store.
These photos tell the story of one of the hardest chapters in our history. In January 1988, a fire tore through Hingham Square and destroyed our store, then located on South Street. But if there’s one thing our family knows how to do, it’s keep going.
We reopened down the street in a temporary space (swipe for second-generation owner Stacey working behind the makeshift counter 👏), and by 1990, we had officially moved to South Hingham.
One of our favorite photos here is current owner Michael, now third generation, with the grandparents who started it all 🖤 Working his first Christmas at 2 months old 👶🏼
78 years later, we’re still here because of family, resilience, and this incredible community that’s supported us through every chapter.
