Mom's Diamond Used in Ring to Celebrate Air Force General

We are incredibly thankful for all who serve our country in the armed forces, and the families that support them.

That’s why this custom project was so special to be part of.

At the end of 2022, a woman filled out a custom project request form on our website. She said she wanted to create a ring for her brother who was recently promoted to General in the U.S. Air Force. The ring would be a gift from her father, who is battling health issues.

She came to us with her mother’s original engagement ring.

Her mom passed away, but she and her dad wanted to use the diamond from that ring in the new ring for her brother.

After an initial consultation with one of our design specialists we removed the diamond to get exact measurements of the stone. Then we went to work, creating renderings of what the new ring could look like based on her requests. She wanted to incorporate Air Force logos and symbols, if possible, while keeping the diamond the main focus.

Within a few days of our initial meeting, we were able to provide her with computer renderings of the ring.

We made a few tweaks, then with her approval the ring went into production. With her father’s failing health, we rushed the ring to ensure he could be there to present the ring to his son.

The final step, once completed, was engraving initials and rank on the inside of the ring.

The family was able to present the ring this month, creating a special moment for everyone involved.

After her brother received the ring, our client sent this thoughtful note, explaining the significance.

We “can not thank you enough for making this special moment happen. Resetting this ring meant the world to us. My brother just loved it. My dad could not have been more proud to pass this special diamond on. Everyone commented on how beautiful the ring is. Just an extraordinary piece of jewelry.”

She added that “it is a tangible piece of history, love, and commitment for our family.”
