Jewelry shows off the spoils of Mother Nature.
Over the course of millions of years, the earth is able to produce stunning, colorful gems. And each of those stones holds special meaning.
This spring, a client came into our store with a few stones she already had. She had a princess cut diamond, as well as a lovely pear shaped aquamarine that was gifted to her.
Each stone held special memories she wanted to feature in a new ring. In addition to those stones, she also wanted to incorporate colored stones representing the birthstones of her immediate family members. The stones were different shapes and sizes, so the idea was to craft a “cluster” style ring, where the stones could essentially fit into each other, creating a colorful spectacle.
After having a rough idea of what shapes and stones the client wanted to include in the ring, our design specialist started sourcing stones. We brought in several for her to view, and select herself. She settled on a marquise shape garnet, a round pink tourmaline, and an oval blue sapphire.
We also decided to add additional small diamonds that matched the quality of her original.
With the stones selected, our designers created several sketches and computer renderings of the proposed ring design.
The client worked with our team to tweak the design a few times before settling on final specifications.
When the final ring was done, it was breathtaking.
The color and diamonds were dazzling, and now represents a range of special people and memories in her life.
