Despite being in the midst of a pandemic, major life milestones keep coming.
In the middle of strict lockdown measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, a couple reached out to us virtually. They were celebrating a significant anniversary, and the husband wanted to re-do his wife's original engagement ring.
The original engagement ring was a simple solitaire.
While beautiful, this client always knew his wife ideally would like a different style. Something wider, fancier. Now was the time to make that happen.
The couple spent time with one of our design specialists, discussing their budget and style preferences.
They also made clear they wanted to use the center stone from the original engagement ring, for sentimental reasons.
Using that information, we first developed rough sketches of a design.
Liking the early design, we then moved to make more precise computer renderings.
After the couple's approval, we created the ring. The final product offered the couple exactly what they wanted: a dramatically different engagement ring.
While the center stone was the same, everything else was different. The mounting was wide, and full of intricate designs crafted from platinum. Small stones were added to surround the center stone, and accent the wide shank.
It may have taken years, but finally this client had the engagement ring she always wanted.
Changing your original engagement ring is quite normal, even though sometimes people feel bad doing it. Styles change over the years, and so does your financial situation. Maybe you couldn't get the exact ring you wanted then, but now you have the means to make that dream come true.
As we did here, we can preserve the sentimental part of your ring, like the diamond, and work it into a totally new design for a new phase of life.
The best way to start the process is by setting up a design consultation with one of our specialists. You can do that by contacting us.
