If you have jewelry tucked away in a drawer that you no longer wear, broken gold that's been sitting untouched for years, or inherited pieces that no one in the family plans to keep, our Fall Jewelry Buying Event is an opportunity to learn what those items are worth.
Join us Tuesday, October 20 through Thursday, October 22 at Hingham Jewelers for a special three-day buying event. Our experienced jewelry buyers will evaluate your items and, in many cases, make an offer during your appointment. Appointments are required so every guest receives personal attention in a relaxed, private setting.
If your schedule is busy, you're also welcome to drop your items off in advance for evaluation during the event, and we'll contact you once they've been reviewed.
Why Many People Are Choosing to Sell Jewelry Right Now
There are many reasons people decide to sell jewelry, but one of the biggest is the continued strength of precious metal prices. Gold remains historically valuable, meaning many pieces are worth significantly more than people expect.
Other common reasons people participate in our buying events include:
Estate jewelry – Families often inherit jewelry that no one plans to keep. A professional evaluation can help determine what those pieces may be worth.
Jewelry you no longer wear – Styles and tastes change over time. Selling unworn pieces can turn something sitting in a drawer into something you'll actually use.
Broken or mismatched jewelry – Damaged chains, single earrings, and broken pieces may still have considerable value because of the precious metals they contain.
A Comfortable, Low-Pressure Experience
Selling jewelry can feel intimidating, especially if you're unsure what your pieces are worth. That's why we focus on creating a transparent, no-pressure experience.
Our buyers will carefully examine each item and explain what they see—whether the value comes from the gold or platinum, the diamonds and gemstones, or the piece's appeal as estate jewelry. If we make an offer, we'll also explain how it was determined.
As Hingham's original jewelry store, we've built our reputation on honest advice and long-term relationships. Whether you decide to sell or simply want to learn more about what you own, we're happy to help.
There is never any obligation to sell.
What You Can Bring
We are interested in evaluating a wide variety of items, including:
-Gold and platinum jewelry (any condition)
-Diamond and gemstone jewelry
-Estate and designer jewelry, including brands such as Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and more
-Luxury watches
-Broken jewelry, single earrings, and unwanted gold
If you're unsure whether something has value, bring it along—many people are surprised by what their jewelry may be worth. Please note that our buyers are not purchasing coins or sterling silver, including flatware.
