If you have jewelry tucked away in a drawer that you no longer wear, broken gold jewelry that’s been sitting untouched for years, or inherited pieces that no one in the family wants, it may be time for some "spring cleaning."
Join us April 7 and 8 at Hingham Jewelers for a special two-day jewelry buying event. Our experienced jewelry buyers will evaluate your items and make offers while you wait. The event is by appointment only, ensuring every guest receives personal attention in a relaxed, private setting.
If your schedule is busy, you may also drop items off in advance for evaluation during the event, and we’ll contact you once your pieces have been reviewed.
Why Many People Are Choosing to Sell Jewelry Right Now
There are many reasons people decide to sell jewelry, but the biggest factor recently is the dramatic rise in precious metal prices.
Gold prices have climbed sharply in the past year, reaching record levels and significantly increasing the value of many pieces.
Other common reasons people participate in our buying events include:
Estate jewelry
When settling a loved one’s estate, families often discover jewelry that no one plans to keep. A professional evaluation can help determine what those pieces are worth.
Jewelry you no longer wear
Styles and tastes change over time. Selling pieces that no longer fit your lifestyle can turn unused items into something more useful.
Broken or mismatched pieces
Chains, single earrings, or damaged items can still hold value because of the precious metals they contain.
A Comfortable, Low-Pressure Environment
Selling jewelry can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what your items are worth. That’s why we focus on creating a transparent, low-pressure experience.
Our buyers will carefully examine each item and explain what they see—whether it’s the value of the metal, the quality of the stones, or whether there is a resale market for the piece as-is.
If we make an offer, we’ll also explain how that number was determined. Sometimes a piece is valuable for its gold or platinum content, while other pieces may have additional value because they can be resold intact.
Just as importantly, we’ll be honest about items that may not have a strong market. Our goal is to provide clear information so you can make an informed decision.
There is no obligation to sell—we want you to feel completely comfortable working with us.
What You Can Bring
We are interested in evaluating many types of items, including:
-Gold and platinum jewelry (any condition)
-Diamond jewelry
-Estate and designer pieces, particularly those from Cartier, Tiffany, etc.
-Select watches & pearls
If you’re unsure whether something has value, bring it along—many people are surprised by what their jewelry may be worth. Keep in mind that coins and sterling silver, including flatware, will not be purchased by our buyers.
How the Buying Event Works
1. Request an appointment for April 7 or April 8.
2. Bring in your jewelry, watches, or precious metal items.
3. Our buyers will evaluate your pieces during the event.
4. You’ll receive an offer while you wait, with no pressure to accept. If it’s more convenient, you may drop items off ahead of time, and we’ll review them during the event.
